April 24th, 2008, Grupo AkvoTek gave a talk at FEMISCA'S XVI National Congress of Sanitary Engineering and Environmental Sciences on a topic that is close to our heart: Water Treatment and Potabilization. It was, in all, a very successful speach where we discussed a bit of history on membrane technology as well as how to use reverse osmosis combined with membrane contactors in order to treat brackish water as well as seawater. We also touch on the treatment of surface water through microfiltration and ultrafiltration. Our talk concluded with the different applications membrane technology can have an important role.
