Looking for a Position in the Water Industry

Being part of an online networking community exposes you to many different things. For one, you get to learn about so many different industries, people, hobbies, etc. If you take it a step further and network with people in your industry, you get to learn more about the different technologies available in the world and the different experts that can handle these technologies.
As a consulting/OEM firm, that's good to know. It opens our horizons to what is new, hip and functional. It also allows us to debate with different experts on how to solve a particular problem/issue we encounter on a daily basis.
This time around, I was exposed to - what I call - micro job sites. These job search engines are specific to a particular industry, in this case water, and are created by individuales who want to make a difference.
The first site I found was WaterJobs.com , which I was exposed to through LinkedIn. Although the site is not high-tec, it does the job of posting what positions are available. I also had the chance to talk to the recruiter in charge: Jim. I found him to be extremely knowledgeable and well connected into the industry and can be a great resource to have as a recruiter for your entreprise.
The second site is called WaterandWasteWaterJobs.com. This site is more high-tec and has a more familiar search engine feel to it. Like WaterJobs.com, this site is dedicated to job offers in the USA. Which is rather annoying, I think. If I were a specialist in Abu Dhabi, France or China, I'd like to have job opportunities locally. Maybe this is just the beginning for WaterandWasteWaterJobs.com but I think they need to open their horizons. This is a website and pretty much anyone in the world can have access to the site. So, let's make the site like it should be: international.
